8+ drive bays are supported, as well as a 256MB cache for speedy operation. Designed as a successor to the ST2000VX015, the hard drive features a SATA6 interface and can support up to 64 HD cameras as well as delivering zero dropped frames due to its ImagePerfect AI support. This drive also features SMR recording technology as opposed to CMR, offering faster read and write times for data.
Also included is SkyHawk Health Management, a sophisticated suite of data security and reliability protocols that focus on prevention, intervention and recovery. Best-in-class acoustic performance offers virtually silent operation, and the hard-drive also includes built-in error recovery for non-stop streaming.
